BANDS

Vicious Rumours are a Punk band from North Kent/South East London. Formed in 1979 with John Mundy at the time on Bass guitar. Changes to the line up coincided with a Change in the Punk scene around 1981 and John Coupé joined to take over on Bass guitar, Having close personal ties with South London band The Business, the band started to play gigs up and down the country with just about every band around at that time. Although having split in 1988 after too many problems at concerts, the band decided to reform just before the millennium, and have been given new life with the addition of Dave Hayman ( ex Superyob/ Concrete Gods and a host of others!) on guitar, and , more recently, French Tom on Drums. Obvious Logistical restrictions of being in 3 different countries limit their chances of playing more often, but the band aim to put on a show you’ll remember. Vicious Rumours play a blend of powerful Punk/ oI! with tounge in cheek humour. If you like loud heavy original music with a lot of pushing and shoving, then this band is for you, if you don’t, it might be a good idea to keep out the tent to avoid serious ear damage!

They are back again, playing our rally for the second time! Punk & sleaze & a portion of cheese. Born from an idea that no-one remembers having, Basket Case are now in their 18th year of operation. Stumbling aimlessly from one gig to the next, this band of clumsy minstrels has gratefully found a home on the Scooter Rally circuit. On Friday 8th June they will astound the patrons of the B.S.R.A National in Kent with their frankly ludicrous attempt at serious musical art. You are about to discover however, that it is neither big nor clever. It’s a four-piece punk & new-wave one-hit-wonders cover band with all the style and substance of a lettuce. Basketcase went down a storm at our rally three years ago, so don’t miss out on one of the best rally tribute bands on the circuit, you will not be disappointed!

Marquis Drive are the ultimate UK’s number one Madchester, Britpop, Indie band. The band has spent many years touring up and down the country supporting the likes of Dodgy, The Farm, Reverend & the Makers, Space, The Wonderstuff, Shed Seven and well known bands. Get in the Live Music Room early, you really do not want to miss this band!!

Doojip are a four piece rock and soul band from Southend. They were formed in a pub after a chance meeting in 2016 have been taking their high energy set across London and the south east. Playing a mixture of original’s and cover’s they rank Dr Feelgood, The Jam, Small Faces and The Who as major influences. Their Debut single, Would I Lie To You is currently out hitting Number 1 in the Beat 100 chart and they are currently working on their debut album.

Skabretta have gone from playing local pubs and clubs to playing sell out concerts at the Indigo O2 Greenwich supporting The Dualers, all within four years. They’ve also played other prestigious venues, such as the 100 Club, The 12 Bar Club, Dublin Castle and numerous scooter rallies around the country. The band have also backed Reggae legends Susan Cadogan, Winston Reedy, Dennis Alcapone and Carl St. Clair of Desmond Dekkers Aces.  An awesome reggae band with a touch of ska thrown in for good measure!

You’ll love this cover two tone band, full stop! (if you like cover two tone bands that is).
